

Philippine Airlines has announced plans to purchase at least 100 new aircraft plus a network extension programme which resumes flights to Europe and adding further services to the U.S. Another ambition is for the airline to join a global alliance. The new aircraft will also be used by Philippine Airlines sister company, Air Philippines.
Philippine Airlines carried more than 9 million passengers during the 2010-2011 period and operates from two main hubs at Ninoy Aquino International Airport , Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu City.
