The airline secured its Air Operator's Licence (AOL) in September 2023. For its initial launch, it plans to dry lease 2 x ATR72-500 aircraft. The new airline will likely be based at U-Tapao International Airport in Pattaya, Thailand.

  • Hong Kong
  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Seoul
  • Tokyo
  • Shanghai
  • Manila

  • Yangon

Baggage Allowance

Pattaya Airways hasn't announced its specific baggage rules however there are general guidelines you can follow before packing for your trip.

Carry-on Baggage

Most airlines allow passengers to carry 1 piece of cabin baggage and 1 personal item (such as a purse or a laptop bag).

The size and weight restrictions for cabin baggage may vary however the common size limit is around 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches), and the weight limit typically cannot exceed 7-10kg (15-22 lbs).

Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.

Checked Baggage

The number of checked bags allowed will depend on your ticket type, class of service and the airline's specific policy.

Airlines often have a maximum weight limit of 20-23kg per checked baggage (44-50 lbs). The linear dimensions (length + width + height) also cannot exceed 158 cm (62 inches).

Please note that these rules may differ from the airline's own baggage allowance rules - please contact the airline directly for more accurate information.

Cabin Classes

Pattaya Airways will be operating its flights with ATR 72 aircraft - this is a regional turboprop aircraft that is typically used for short-haul flights, therefore it may only offer an economy-class cabin configuration onboard.

Economy Class

Seats may be set out in a 2 x 2 configuration with a single aisle in between.

The ATR 72 offers a comfortable cabin environment for regional travel but isn't as spacious as larger jetliners.

In-flight Entertainment

Due to the nature of the flights that will be operated by Pattaya Airways, in-flight entertainment may not be provided or existent on the aircraft. We recommend bringing your own forms of entertainment for your flight such as a book to read or your own personal devices with TV shows/movies to watch.

Food and Drink

A complimentary snack or beverage may be provided on Pattaya Airways' flights however this is not guaranteed due to the type of flights it operates.

Check-In Information

Online Check-In

It's not known whether you can check in online for your Pattaya Airways flights therefore we recommend checking in at the airport.

Airport Check-In

You can check in for your Pattaya Airways flight at the airport via the airline's check-in counters. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 2-3 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This is to allow enough time for you to get through baggage drop and security procedures.

The airport provides connectivity to popular tourist destinations within Thailand and is a convenient point of entry for travellers heading to destinations in the east of the country.

The airport is currently a hub for Thai AirAsia and Thai Summer Airways, both of which are low-cost carriers.

Fleet

For its initial launch, Pattaya Airways will dry lease 2 x ATR 72-500s. This aircraft is ideal for short-haul, regional flights and can seat up to 70 passengers.
