Holidaymakers who travelled on TAM Airlines flight to Sao Paulo for the world famous festival might have spotted Paraguayan model Larissa Riquelme taking part in the festivities.
The South American beauty is famous for her passionate support of her country's football team during the 2010 World Cup, reports the Latin American Herald Tribune.
She told the G1 news website that she usually attends a carnival in her home country, but that this year she wanted to participate in something bigger.
"It's smaller than the Brazilian one, which is the largest in the world. The most emotional thing was to see the public shouting my name," she commented.
Ms Riquelme parade in the Anhembi Sambodrome with the Unidos de Vila Maria school as part of their show Amazonas Theater, Manaos on Stage.
