Vacationers with a passion for film may want to make their way to Panama this autumn as the country's capital is hosting the Icaro Central American Film & Video Festival.
Those with COPA Airlines flights to the country will have the opportunity to view some of the highlights of the region's latest cinematic offerings.
The festival will stop at a number of countries while running, but in Panama, visitors will be able to watch free movies at the Cinepolis Multiplaza while it is in the country.
It will be the 14th year in which the event has been organised and in 2010 it started in Guatemala and stopped in every Central American capital city.
While in Panama, holidaymakers may want to try to take part in some of the religious festivals during their break.
Among those held in the autumn is the Black Christ of Portobelo, which is usually held on October 21st and which sees Portobelo's inhabitants worship a figure of the Black Christ in memory of a miracle that occurred over 400 years ago.
