Britons may be tempted to book Albanian Airlines flights in order to scout out property in the European country in light of one expert's assertion that it is still possible to make money from foreign real estate.
Nick Marr, chief executive officer at property portal Homesgofast.com, observed that it is no longer possible to "make a quick buck" buying and selling dwellings overseas.
However, the expert said as a long-term investment strategy, purchasing residences in foreign countries is a potentially lucrative option.
"Investors compare what they can achieve elsewhere - in banks and stocks - and see that overseas property is still very viable," he stated.
A recent report by the Bank of Albania revealed the sector is performing well at the moment, with the average cost of a residence rising 1.5 per cent in the first three months of the year compared with the same period in 2010, news that may tempt buyers to book Albanian Airlines flights to look at homes abroad.
