Older people planning their holidays have been offered advice regarding travel insurance.
Older people buying Belavia airline tickets and arranging flights to Minsk may want to follow one expert's advice when it comes to their travel insurance.
Insight analyst for general insurance at Defaqto Mike Powell reminded them that it can sometimes be harder for those over the age of 65 to get cover.
This is because, especially if they have a pre-existing medical condition such as diabetes or heart problems, some providers may be reluctant to provide a policy.
However, the expert noted some specialist firms do cover older individuals and, as a result, it is important to shop around to find the right deal.
"You really need to consider, whilst the price is important, that the policy actually covers what you need rather than just taking out the cheapest insurance," Mr Powell stated.
It could be that increasing numbers of pensioners are booking Belavia flights to Minsk, as research conduced by LV= recently revealed one-third of all holidays are now taken by over-50s.
