Officials in Hanoi have pledged to boost public transport in the city - good news for those with Vietnam Airlines tickets.
Members of the people's committee have approved the development of a new bus infrastructure which has the ambitious aim of getting 3.62 million people in the city to use public transport every single day by the year 2020.
Currently, one million people get around the city by bus.
Officials believe that investment in the transport project now will benefit those with cheap flights to Hanoi further down the line.
They also hope that the bus network will help reduce Hanoi's impact on the environment by slashing carbon emissions.
Speaking to VOV News, Nguyen Hoang Hai, director of the Hanoi Urban Traffic Management and Operation Centre, said that the project was not without its challenges.
Not least the fact that finding places to build new stops is likely to prove difficult.
Recently, Vietnam Airlines announced that it was adding an Airbus A380 to its fleet of 70 aircraft.
