US Airways now serving the Florida Space Coast via Melborune(FL)
US Airways has begun flying new services between its hub at Charlotte, North Carolina and Melbourne, Florida.
The airline will operate three services each day on 70-seat Canadair Regional Jets (CRJ700) and gives passengers access to Florida's world famous Space Coast.
Melbourne’s Airport Executive Director Richard A. Ennis commented: “It speaks volumes that the first week of flights from Charlotte is sold out. It is a clear indication that the public is embracing the return of US Airways to Melbourne.”
US Airways, along with US Airways Shuttle and US Airways Express, operates more than 3,000 flights per day and serves more than 190 communities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Central and South America. The airline employs more than 32,000 aviation professionals worldwide and is a member of the Star Alliance network, which offers its customers more than 19,700 daily flights to 1,077 airports in 175 countries. Together with its US Airways Express partners, the airline serves approximately 80 million passengers each year and operates hubs in Charlotte, NC, Philadelphia and Phoenix, and a focus city at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
