Aires of Colombia get new aircraft and announce expansion plans
According to local press reports Aires, of Colombia are planning to start flying to New York later this year and then add flights to Toronto, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Lima, Buenos Aires, Quito and Guayaquil from its hub at Bogota.
Recently Aires added the eighth of 10 Boeing 737/700 next generation aircraft which its has ordered. The Boeing 737-700 has a range allowing Aires to fly destinations such as Toronto, airports in Central America and Mexico, and other destinations such as Sao Paulo in Brazil, or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Aires currently has a total of 21 aircraft: 13 Dash 8 - 200, with seating for 37 passengers and 8 Boeing 737-700's.
