AIr Jamaica and Caribbean Airlines to become one?

Air Jamaica are reported to be re-opening discussions with Caribbean Airlines to form a single Caribbean Airline. The talks are part of on-going initiative by the Jamaican Government to privatize the loss making national Carrier, Air Jamaica, in line with strings attached to large loans being secured from the IMF. The discussions over a possible merger have been on-gong throughout most of 2009 and a positive outcome is expected sometime in 2010.
