Daallo Airlines has launched a new luxury, daily nonstop services connecting Somaliland’s capital Hargeisa to number of cities in Africa, Middle East and Europe using it’s new fleet - the McDonnell Douglas DC-9, a twin-engine, single-aisle jet airliner. The DC-9 passenger Jet can carry 91 passengers; 75 people in economy class and 16 business class passengers and its flight crew.

Transaero Airlines has launched a new domestic route from Moscow to Irkutsk. The flight, UN115/116, will operate twice weekly, departing from Moscow on Friday and Sunday and departing from Irkutsk on Saturday and Monday. Departure from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow will be at 23:40 pm local time (GMT+3) and arrival in Irkutsk will be at 10:20 pm local time (GMT+8).

The Latvian airline airBaltic is launching nonstop flights to the Polish capital city of Warsaw and the Russian city of Pskov from September 2009. The first flight from Riga to Warsaw will operate on September 17 and will be flown daily on Fokker F50 aircraft.

Mahan Air has announced that it will launch non-stop scheduled passenger services between Birmingham, UK and Amritsar, India via Tehran’s IKA Airport . From 02 July 2009, Mahan Air will be operating 3 weekly morning departures from Birmingham non-stop to Tehran and onto Amritsar.

Transaero Airlines, Russia’s largest independent carrier, has launched a new domestic route from Moscow to Irkutsk. The flight,operates twice each week, departing from Moscow on Friday and Sunday with return flights from Irkutsk departing on Saturday and Monday.

The Transportation and Communications Department of Mexico has temporarily grounded the fleet of 23 aircraft operated by the low cost airline, Aviacsa. The airline currently serves 17 Mexican cities and the US city of Las Vegas.
