Highand Airways the Scottish airline based in Inverness has stopped taking bookings over its web site and local bloggers are reporting that it is likely that administartors will be called in today 25th January 2010.
HIghland Airways is the second scottish airline, after FlyGlobespan failed recently, to get into trouble. Whilst much smaller than FlyGlobespan, Highland Airways is no less critical for Scottish aviation in that it operates essential domestic air routes connecting remote island communities with the mainland

The company is currently facing difficult trading, most recently exacerbated by the severe winter and resultant reduced flying and reduced income.
