Classical music lovers who want to combine their passion with a trip overseas may want to consider booking Philippine Airlines flights during September for the National Orchestra Festival.
The event will take place in Manila and it will see some of the nation's finest musicians take to the stage to showcase their skills.
Appropriately, the annual festival is scheduled to be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Among the groups of musicians who performed at the event last year were the Manila Symphony Orchestra and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO).
One of the shows pencilled in for September this year is entitled A Hero's Life, which will be performed by the PPO and conducted by Olivier Ochanine.
Among the composers whose masterpieces will feature are Edward Elgar, Johan Strauss and Camille Saint-Saens.
The piece written by the latter that is due to be performed is the Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah.
