TAM Airlines has recorded a 13.6 per cent year-on-year increase in the number of passengers taking its flights during 2010.
Figures released by the company revealed that 29.3 million flew on domestic flights, while 5.2 million people purchased overseas trips - such as flights to Sao Paulo - with the carrier.
There was a 14.4 per cent increase in customers taking international trips, with overall revenue rising 12.3 per cent.
Those booking TAM Airlines flights might be encouraged to hear that last year the average price paid for internal voyages dropped 8.4 per cent.
Marco Antonio Bologna, TAM SA holding president, commented: "Thanks to the efforts of our 28,000 employees, the basis for a new period of growth has been built."
Overall operating profit for the Brazilian carrier in 2010 was R$977 million (£366 million).
Last month, TAM Airlines announced that it was ordering 32 jets from the Airbus A320 line to be delivered between 2016 and 2018.
