Flights to Podgorica with Montenegro Airlines could be in greater demand among yachting enthusiasts travelling to Porto Montenegro.
The location is being developed in the hope that it will become one of the Mediterranean's top destinations for yachts of all sizes, reports the Visit-Montenegro blog.
Located in the Bay of Kotor - which is a Unesco World Heritage site - the port is the largest natural harbour in the region.
"Rugged mountains rise from the shoreline, shielding the sandy beaches and medieval towns that cling to the waters' edge," the writer of the blog observed.
Montenegro Airlines trips could also be in demand among those hoping to access other countries in their yachts, as Porto Montenegro is close to hotspots such as Venice, Corfu and the Ionian Islands.
Those who have never been on flights to Podgorica before might consider heading to the city for a few days to get a taste of the country after the Lonely Planet said this is a cheap way to see what a nation has to offer visitors.
