Holidaymakers heading to Europe on their break may have a greater selection of flights to Podgorica to choose from as Montenegro Airlines has unveiled plans for expansion.
Vladimir Ristic, commercial director of the carrier, identified Serbia and Russia as the company's largest markets but suggested that the firm was looking to extend its reach, reports Balkans News.
The organisation is also preparing for the delivery of a new aircraft to take its fleet up to nine planes.
"Our negotiations are entering the final phase and we plan to put an order in soon," he commented.
When it takes delivery of the Embraer jet in 2013, it will be added to the existing fleet of three Embraer E190s and five Fokker F100s.
While in the country, jetsetters may want to take in some of the Montenegro Tango Festival - which is set to take place in Herceg Novi next month - where there will be classes, workshops and day trips put on by experts.
