A new domestic airline within Mongolia has been launched with the name “Mongolian Airlines”. The airline is reported to be operating Fokker 50 aircraft from a base in Ulaanbaatar. Direct competition will come from existing carriers Aero Mongolia and Eznis airways. The new airline will be formally launched on December 01st 2011.
MIAT Mongolian airlines is currently the only Mongolian owned airline operating international flights into Ulaanbaator with services to Beijing,Hong Kong,Tokyo,Osaka Singapore, Seoul, Berlin and Moscow using a fleet of Boeing 737 and 767 aircraft.
