ove could be in the air for those who book Vietnam Airlines flights to Hanoi in 2011.   This is because, according to new research from AA Travel Insurance, many people enjoy a romance when they go on holiday.

A survey conducted by the company found 23 per cent of travellers end up having a romantic encounter, although 68 per cent revealed they never spoke to the object of their affections again.

While 13 per cent said they fell in love but the relationship did not last, nine per cent revealed they went on to form a long-term partnership.

Manager of AA Travel Insurance Teresa Brewer said people like to leave their inhibitions and the pressure of everyday life at home when they jet off on holiday. She added that "occasionally a spark is struck that turns into the long-term flame of love".

This news comes after a study carried out by Travelmatch revealed many newlyweds are choosing destinations such as Vietnam, Thailand and Sri Lanka when they go on their honeymoon after the big day.
