LAM - Mozambque Airlines,has taken delivery of the second EMBRAER 190 aircraft, the last of the first stage of the fleet renewal program of the Mozambican national carrier.

"We have accolplished the first stage of our fleet renovation program with the arrival of the seond E190", said José Viegas, LAM´S CEO. LAM iniciated an ambitious fleet renovation program last year with the arrival of two Bombardier Q400 aircraft and have also increased their fleet with the arrival of these two Brazilian built regional jets E190. The investment programme involves orders totalling approximately hundred million dollars. LAM was considered the Best regional airline in Africa by AFRAA - African Airline Association in 2008, due to major improvements and impressive achivements regarding the safety, security, IT developments and good governance of the airline
