Visitors to south-east Asia on Vietnam Airlines flights this autumn may want to make their way to Lam Kinh for the annual festival this September
The event takes place in the destination that was once the capital of the country.
Attendees who make the trip to Vietnam for the gathering may be treated to a variety of traditional spectacles.
Among the activities that take place during the Lam Kinh festival are martial arts competitions, incense offerings in the area's temples and folk games.
It is put on each year to celebrate the former emperor of the nation Le Loi.
In 2010, thousands of people turned up to participate in the event, where there were local products on sale.
The celebration takes place on the 22nd day of the eighth lunar month and sees local children perform a traditional dance during which they sing and plant flowers.
While in the south-east Asian nation, visitors may also want to head to the Dinh Thay Temple for the festival which takes place from the 14th to the 16th of the ninth lunar month.
