Holidaymakers with Air Botswana flights to Africa booked may wish to stop at Lake Malawi this week for the region's Yachting Marathon.
The event is held annually to raise funds for charity and is the longest freshwater race on the continent.
This year, yachting enthusiasts who are in the area between July 1st and 3rd will have the opportunity to watch sailors battle it out on the famous lake.
Around 50 vessels compete in the event, starting from Nkopola Lodge in the south and making their way up to Chinthenche Beach one week later.
Sailors travel from around the world to take part, with some hailing from as far afield as Australia
Once the competitors complete the course, they will have travelled 560 km to reach the finish line.
In May, actress Olivia Williams told the Daily Telegraph that one of her best holidays was a riding trip in Botswana.
