Kenya Airways launches Rome to Nairobi service and add Malindi to regional network

Kenya Airways plans to add a three times weekly flight from Nairobi to Rome  to its current European services to London, Amsterdam and Paris starting December 13th 2010.

The new Rome service will fly on Mondays, Thursday and Saturdays using a Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft.

Kenya Airways Chief Operating Officer Bram Steller termed the move timely as Italy was increasingly becoming a vital source of tourists into Kenya. "We have seen Italy become the third highest ranked country whose citizens visit Kenya for holiday and it is only natural that we fly them to their most popular destination in Kenya, Malindi," he said. "

To coincide with the Rome launch, Kenya Airways will also start new six times weekly domestic services to Malindi from December 6 2010 using an Embraer 170 jet.
