Australian low-cost carrier ,Jetstar has announced that it would join the powerful Oneworld alliance in 2011.
Jetstar will join European low cost carrier Air Berlin alongside American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Qantas. Jetstar is the low cost daughter of Qantas.
Jetsar has plans to develop new routes into China using its Singapore base and is looking at long-haul services to North America and Europe. By March 2011, Jetstar will fly to 24 destinations in 13 countries from our Singapore hub.
