Hard on the heels of the announcement, that Vietnam Airlines has launched new direct services from London Gatwick To Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from December 2011, comes news from Vietnam's largest travel Fair, The International Travel Expo, opening today in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the 7th year that the annual event has been held and it has grown to include over 270 booths representing tourism businesses from ten countries plus 20 cities and provinces throughout Vietnam.
The Fair is Vietnam's largest event devoted to the development of tourism in the region and it is important for the promotion of the whole region including travel to Laos, the Greater Mekong Sub region, including Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar. The show has the slogan of “Four Countries – One Destination” and is aimed at promoting the four countries, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam, as a single tourism destination in the region.
