Those who love food, drinking and dancing may be preparing to book Montenegro Airlines flights this summer so they can be in the country in time for the International Summer Carnival of Kotor.

Among the events scheduled to take place during the festival are a masked ball for children and the Mussel Festivities.

Around 30,000 people are expected to gather in Kotr to take part in the carnival.

When it gets underway on August 1st, there will be dance performances in the central square of the city.

These will be put on by local young women dressed in colourful festive garments and after there will be music for all to enjoy.

It draws to a close on August 6th, when the carnival moves through the town and is topped off with an all-night street party.

Those who book flights to Podgorica with the intention of travelling on to Kotor may want to spend a day or two in the capital to check out the Natural History Museum or the antique Doclea remains.
