Spice Jet flights to Delhi might be more in demand among older travellers after one expert said India is becoming increasingly popular with this demographic.
Speaking to the AFP, owner of luxury lodge provider Shakti Himalaya Jamshyd Sethna noted that senior travellers are more selective about the breaks they choose.
"Older people are very discerning about seeking out special experiences and combining those with quality accommodation and food," the expert commented.
According to the Office for National Statistics, some 103,000 Britons between the ages of 55 and 64 headed to India in 2009.
Sean Tipton, of the Association of British Travel Agents, told the news provider that older travellers are often "more adventurous" than younger holidaymakers.
Vacationers with Spice Jet flights to Delhi might consider booking their trip so it coincides with Durga Puja in October.
The capital's Chittaranjan Park hosts a fair where visitors can sample a variety of sweets and traditional Bengali food.
