A new air route linking the capital of Scotland with the capital of Iceland has been launched by dynamic Icelandic low cost carrier, Iceland Express.
From June 23rd 2012 to the end of August 2012, Iceland Express will fly twice weekly on Monday and Thursday from Edinburgh to Reykjavik.
Heimir Mar Petursson, Manager of Iceland Express said: "The flights are well-timed to offer travellers a long weekend away in the colourful capital. Reykjavik is the perfect city break, and with nature on its doorstep, the options for your Iceland getaway are endless."
The new route launch has been backed by a high profile marketing campaign including adverts showing the ubiquitous orange Iceland Express bird on the side of Edinburgh's city centre buses.
Alternative Airlines have a special relationship with Iceland Express and on-line bookings at competitve fares are now available through this web site.
