An increasing demand for flights between London and Reykjavik has led Iceland Express to re start flights to London Stansted this winter.

This is in addition to its high frequency service to Gatwick and  a new for Summer 2010, weekly flight to Birmingham.

“The demand for flights between the UK and Iceland is stronger than it’s ever been so we wanted to cater for this popularity,” says Matthias Imsland, Iceland Express CEO. 

Iceland Express switched operations to London Gatwick in May 2009 but had flown between London Stansted and Reykjavik for the previous six years.

The new Stansted service will begin in November 2009 and will fly twice a week, every Monday and Friday.
