Ghana International Airlines

Ghana International Airlines (GIA) is the national carrier of Ghana based in the capital city, Accra.

Ghana International Airways Flights

The sad demise of Ghana Airways in 2004 meant that Ghana was without a national carrier. Ghana International Airlines was established to fill the gap and began operating its first international schedule services to London Gatwick at the end of October 2005. Since then Johannesburg and Lagos have been added as destinations served from its hub at Accra.

Ghana International Airlines operates a Boeing 757 and a Boeing 767 in their distinctive red, yellow and green livery.

Ghana International Airways Flights to Accra Question: Who is the most famous Ghanaian ?

Answer Kofi Annan who was until recently the Secretary General of the United Nations. Ghana International Airlines is based at the West African bustling city of Accra, which with its two million resident population and a constant flow of transients through it as a transport hub is by anyone’s standards a busy place! If you’re looking to get there from London GIA is, in opinion the best way, usually punctual, always cost effective and flying from London’s friendliest airport, Gatwick, we suggest that you give them a try. On-line Booking is available through this web site.
