Garuda Indonesia, the rapidly developing national carrier of Indonesia and winner of the 2010 CAPA award for airline turnaround of the year, has added a third daily frequency between its hub in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. The new service will start to fly between the two cities from February 19th 2012 operating on a Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.
The new service, using the flight code GA 816, will depart daily from Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 14:30 and is due to arrive in Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 17:35. The returning flight GA 817, will depart daily from Kuala Lumpur at 18:40, arriving in Jakarta at 19:45. Passengers onboard this new service will be able to enjoy the new signature interior plus upgraded on-board services such as individual touch-screen LCD TVs with Audio-Video on Demand entertainment systems.
