It is being reported that up to four new Indonesian carriers are likely to be granted traffic rights to fly between Indonesia and Australia.

Indonesian carrier Batavia Air has already announced that it has got permission to fly between Bali and Perth, plus Melbourne and Sydney, whilst applications from Sriwijaya Air, Mandala Airlines and Lion Air are also under consideration.
Australian owned airlines Pacific Blue, Jetstar and Strategic Airlines already operate on the principal routes as do Garuda Indonesia and Air Asia Indonesia.
