Jetsetters who need to book tickets to Indonesia may benefit from the recent announcement by Garuda that it has added another 99 flights to its schedule.
The additional services will run between Jakarta and Denpasar, Singapore, Padang, Yogyakarta, but there will also be eight extra trips between Denpasar and Surabaya.
According to the Indonesian carrier, the decision was made in anticipation of the rush for flights to Jakarta and other destinations it experiences each year after Eid Fitri.
In its bid to prepare for the increased passenger volumes, the firm has made 24,930 seats available for travellers ahead of the holiday period.
The rise correlates to an overall increase in seat numbers, as the airline will have 891,697 available over the course of the year, up from 715,255 in 2010.
