Wildlife enthusiasts planning a holiday in Africa may be more inclined to book Fly540 flights after the Kenya Tourist Board revealed that a road through the Masai Mara game reserve is to be improved.
Cecily Mbarire, tourism assistant minister, said at the Meeting Incentive Conference Event that this step would allow better accessibility to the area for travellers, reports KBC News.
"The minister of roads last Friday led a high government delegation to a visit of the Masai Mara using this road. He immediately allocated 320 million Kenyan shillings (£2.2 million) for rehabilitation of this road," the official stated.
She asserted that the project is expected to be completed in August this year, which may mean those with flights to Nairobi booked in late summer will be able to take advantage of the improved highway.
The Masai Mara is one of the top locations for spotting big cats, zebras, Thomson's gazelle and wildebeest.
