Indian low cost carrier, SpiceJet is the latest entrant onto the Kathmandu market having recently introduced flights from New Delhi.
Nepal has a reputation as the best place for trekkers and trekking holidays of all categories of difficulty. Twelve of the world's highest peaks are reachable from Kathmandu and it is possible to trek at any time of year in Nepal. The main trekking season runs through October and November where there is little rainfall and mazing crystal-clear mountain views. The winter period is an ideal season for a low altitude trek. During March the increasingly popular spring trekking season starts and continues through to late May, early June.
