Far Eastern Air Transport operates flights to Da Nang, (Vietnam) Denpasar (Indonesia) , Jeju (South Korea), Koror (Palau), Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia), Laoag (Philippines)and Seoul. (South Korea). Far East Air Transport also operates domestic flights to Hualien, Kaohsiung, Kinmen, Makung, Tainan, and Taitung. The main base of Far Eastern Air Transport is at Taipei’s Songshan Airport.
Currently Far Eastern Air Transport has a mixed fleet of Boeing and Mc Donnell Douglas aircraft in a very distinctive deep red livery.
Any airline which has the word “FAT” emblazoned across its tail and who has a frequent flyer club for “FAT” members has got to worthy of consideration in a world gone crazy for diets and healthy eating ! But seriously, this is a well established airline with the better known China Airlines as a significant shareholder. We specifically like the choice by Far Eastern Air Transport of Koror as a destination which is the international airport of one of the world’s newest and smallest nations, Palau emerged as a country in 1994 and has only around 22,000 people.
FAT Far Eastern Air Transport ceases flying 14th May 2008.
