One firm has explained why parents could benefit from taking out family travel insurance.
People booking Montenegro Airlines flights to Podgorica this spring may want to follow the advice of one travel insurance provider.
World First Travel Insurance has advised parents that it may be beneficial for them to take out a family policy when deciding where they are going to fly to this year.
The firm explained that this option provides value for money, as it can be used in several different ways.
Youngsters will be covered if they travel independently of their mums and dads - such as on a school trip - if they are accompanied by a grown-up.
Furthermore, adults named on the policy will also have individual protection, the company continued.
Managing partner of World First Travel Insurance Martin Rothwell said many people do not realise what kind of protection a family policy offers.
"With February half term just around the corner and Easter and summer breaks already being planned, families can find some great deals on holidays," he added.
Earlier this month, Kara Gammell explained in an article for the Daily telegraph that it is up to holidaymakers to make the distinction between essential and non-essential travel.
