Ethiopian Airlines have revealed plans to start flights to Freetown, Sierra Leone.
This follows the launch of regular flights to the neighbouring countries of Republic of Guinea and Liberia, starting from 1st October, 2009. Ethiopian Airlines are looking to commence flights to Freetown by mid November or the first week of December 2009 initially operating two flights per week. The routing will be Addis Ababa-Lagos-Lome-Freetown. The leg from Addis Ababa to Lome would be operated by Ethiopian Airlines whilst the Lome to Freetown route would be operated by local airline, ASKAI Airlines using a Boeing 737 aircraft.
