Entebbe gets new service from Gulf Air

Gulf Air Flights to EntebbeFlights to East Africa got another boost this week when Bahrain’s national airline, Gulf Air, restarted flights to the Ugandan capital from its home base in Bahrain. Gulf Air last operated flights to Entebbe in 2000 and the new service will operate four times each week.

The new route joins the service launched earlier this year, from Bahrain to Nairobi, as Gulf Air continues to develop its network in East Africa.

The flight from Bahrain to Entebbe will be operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft with 16 seats in business class (designated as Falcon Gold class) and 120 seats in economy.

Gulf Air is the largest network operator in the Middle East and now is expanding services operates services to Africa with flights to Entebbe, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Cairo, Casablanca, Johannesburg, Zanzibar and Durban.

In total Gulf Air flies scheduled services to 45 destinations in 28 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, including London Heathrow.
