Emirates to start Dubai to Dakar, Senegal flights

From the 1st September  2010 Emirates will launch non-stop flights five times a week between Dubia and Dakar, Senegal. The flights will be operated by an Airbus A340-300 aircraft  with 3 classes of service.‘

Emirates flight 979 will depart Dubai at 0955 and arrive at the Léopold Sédar Senghor International Airport in Dakar at 1600 on the same day,. The return flight from Dakar at 1700 is expected to arrive in Dubai at 0715 the next morning.

Emirates Airlines operates over 2000 passenger flights a week from its base at Dubai International Airport. Senegal will become it 106th destinations in 60th country it covers across six continents. Dakar is its 19th destination in Africa. Dakar is the airline’s third new destination in less than 12 months, after Durban in South Africa and Luanda in Angola, both of which joined the network in late 2009.
