CHILE EARTHQUAKE INFORMATION

LAN supports southern region of Chile

LAN informs that the company had being in constant touch with the authorities in order to support air transportation of humanitarian help to the southern region of the country. “Our commitment is with those who had suffered the devastated consequence of this earthquake and we are helping the authorities in all what they could require in this time”, said Jorge Awad LANs Chairman of the Board.

The company will follow the instructions from the authorities in order to schedule the operations that will help the support of the air transportation to the Bio Bio region.

LAN Airlines Update On Status Of Flight Operations To/From Santiago, Chile LAN Airlines reports, in accordance with the announcement made by Chile's Civil Aviation Authority, that the Arturo Merino Benitez International airport in Santiago, Chile remains closed for both international and domestic flights. LAN is working closely with the Chilean Ministry of Public Works, the Civil Aviation Authority and the terminal concession company to reinstate operations as soon as possible.

The company has been operating the 17 flights that were destined for Santiago, Chile on February 27, and diverted to alternate airports. By the end of the day, all these flights will have arrived at Santiago. Flight operations at the Arturo Merino Benitez international airport in Santiago remain temporarily suspended. LAN will alert passengers as soon as airport authorities reopen the airport for operations.

The Company has been providing assistance to affected passengers in the form of hotel accommodations for those that were in-transit and allowing changes to flight reservation through March 30th, 2010. For the updated information related to flight schedules passengers can visit www.lan.com.

The company will continue providing updates related to the status of its flight operations in Santiago as the information becomes available. Affected passengers that already initiated their trip: - Change will be allowed for their returning flight, to fly up to March 30, with no penalties or fare differences subject to availability on the cabin (Regardless de original restriction on the ticket) -

For passengers returning after March 30, fare differences will apply, with no penalty, subject to availability of the fare class within the fare validity, with no charge and regardless of the fare regulation. Affected passengers that have not initiated their trip: - Change will be allowed for their flight, to fly up to March 30, with no penalties or fare differences subject to availability on the cabin (Regardless the original restriction on the ticket). -

For passengers flying after March 30, fare differences will apply, with no penalty, subject to availability of the fare class within the fare validity, with no charge and regardless of the fare regulation. -

In Domestic Flights within Chile, it will be allowed to fly the returning flight, with the original booking, even when the departing flight has not being flown.

Passengers on not affected flights: Passengers with initiated trips, with origin or destinations in Chile, can anticipate their return to fly up to March 30, subject to cabin availability, with no penalty or fare difference.
