Dutch Antilles Express

On 30th April 2005 Dutch Antilles Express (DAE) started operations as an Antillean airline. The main base is on Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles. DAE is a friendly and reliable airline that offers service at a competitive price level.

DAE - Dutch Antilles Express

DAE is a lovely little airline which operates mostly short hop flights between its base in Bonaire to Curacao (30 minutes), Aruba (30 minutes) and Valencia (50 minutes) plus its one longer sector to St Maarten (2 hours 15 minutes). In mid 2008 the airline was operating 3 x ATR turboprop aircraft and two Fokker 100 Jets (for use on its longer sectors). Dae - Flights to St Maarten and Curacao Dae or Dutch Antilles Express - 2007 could be an interesting year for this little local airline as the Dutch Antilles will cease to exist as the two major islands of St Maarten and Curacao will become recognised as entities in their own right under the flag of Holland whilst the smaller islands will be downgraded to Dutch municipalities.

DAE however is well run under the astute management of an experienced European airline CEO and will no doubt be looking to further its plans to operate to new destinations such as Caracas, Port of Spain (Trinidad), Port au Prince (Haiti), Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) and Bogotá (Colombia). Alternative Airlines the UK site for immediate confirmed on-line bookings.

It's awful to see an airline, which was one of the best, deteriorate within a season to one which we say 'book with caution".

WOW ! what a different airline industry environment India's low cost airlines currently enjoy when compared with Europe's more mature markets.
