

Last weekend expanding Latin American carrier, COPA Airlines, operated the first scheduled service flight between its main base at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport and Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay.
The new service will operate two times a week, on Tuesday and Sunday, leaving Panama City at 09:06 on each day, arriving into Montego Bay at 11:03. Return flights are scheduled to depart Montego Bay at 12:39, and arrive back into Panama City at 14:30
In addition to Copa Airline's expansion into Montego Bay, Copa also has a regular service from Panama to Kingston, Jamaica.
Copa Airlines plans to upgrade the type of aircraft flown on the new route from Panama to Montego Bay from the current Embraer aircraft to a Next-Generation Boeing 737 from April 22nd 2012.
COPA Airlines currently has a fleet of 73 aircraft operating a total of 293 daily flights to 49 cities in 28 countries across the American continent.
