Congo Express the new African airline to be formed by SA Express and a local investment company has announced plans to start operations in February 2010.
The new airline will operate domestic flights in the Democratic Republic of Congo and is due to operate its first flight on February 01st between Lubumbashi and Kinshasa, the capital, which will become a daily service. The second new service will fly four times each week between Kinshasa and the diamond-producing center of Mbuji May.Partner airline and 49%shareholder, SA Express, which operates flights six days a week between Johannesburg and Lubumbashi, will be responsible for technical maintenance of the aircraft.
