Founded in 2015, Colorful Guizhou Airlines is a Chinese airline offering domestic scheduled passenger throughout Western China. The airline is locally owned by the Guizhou province and is situated at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport.
Colorful Guizhou Airlines was officially launched in June 2015, when the airline announced its name, planned routes and its first order of Embraer aircraft. In December of the same year, Colorful Guizhou Airlines received its first Embraer aircraft and before the end of the year flew its inaugural flight from Guiyang to Bijie.

Guiyang International Airport is an international airport in Guiyang in the Guizhou Province, China and is the hub airport for Colorful Guizhou Airlines. The airport opened in 1997 and is located around 7 miles southeast of the centre of Guiyang. The airline has just one terminal, from which airlines operate both domestic and international flights from.
Other airlines that fly to and from Colorful Guizhou Airlines include Fuzhou Airlines, Chengdu Airlines, Jiangxi Air, New Gen Airways, 9 Air, Qingdao Airlines and Suparna Airlines and Loong Air. The airport was the hub for Yunnan Yingan Airlines until 2015, when the airline eased operations.

Colorful Guizhou Airlines to undergo major fleet expansion
Colorful Guizhou Airlines will double its fleet as the airline is set to have an intake new aircraft in summer 2019. The airline will take in a number of Embraer E190s this summer, which is the same model type that already exists within its fleet.
This news comes as the airline looks to expand its route network to serve a total of 36 different destinations in 2019. The airline has projected that it will have a total of 24 aircraft within its fleet by 2020, which it wants to use to launch its first-ever international services.
