Chilean airline, Principal Airlines’ (PAL) has received the go ahead to launch new domestic schedules between Santiago, Antofagasta, and Iquique from June 18th 2008.. Previuosly the airline - known as PAL - has only operated domestic and international charter flights.

The launch follows the demise of the Chilean airline, Air Comet. PAL has announced that is focussing its route network on the market in the North of Chile using its fleet of two Boeing 737-200 aircraft,
