esterday we were fine wined and dined at the annual London luncheon hosted by the hard working and dynamic Centro American travel Association. The meal took place at the secret "Temple" restaurant within the old Great Liverpool Street Station, a great venue, fabulous food, interesting guests and warm hosts.. the perfect event. The only speeches were short with some insights into the problems and opportunities of the new BA/Iberia merger and TACA Airlines plans for the region. This is a wonderfully effective Tourist Board which makes the difficult job of representing the geographically adjacent but very different countries of central America look easy. The region is growing every year in terms of the number of visiting tourists and the ability of the in-country infrastructure to deliver a great experience. If you are looking for a new part of the globe to visit try central America and use the very modern services of TACA airlines to see as much of this fascinating regional as psssible.
