Two new airlines owned by the Tonle Sap Company and the Indochina Company are likely to be authrised by teh cambodian Government to fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, and from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville.

“We are preparing the procedures for both private firms, and hope they will begin operating early next year,” said. a representative of the Cambodian Ministry responsible. The airlines plan to fly medium-sized aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. Currently, Cambodia Angkor Air is the only airline that operates a regular scheduled passenger service on domestic routes in Cambodia.
