Aerolineas Argentinas customers who are travelling to Buenos Aires next month may want to head to the Festival Ciudad Emergente, which will see some of the city's top new musical acts showcase their skills.

The event takes place between June 16th and 20th and will be held in a variety of different locations throughout the Recoleta Cultural Centre.

Those who book flights to Buenos Aires at this time will have a variety of music genres to choose from, including soft rock and indie bands.

As well as this, there will also be documentaries about the art form and examples of musical poetry.

Last year, there were 130,000 people in attendance at the festival, which was first organised in 2008.

Traditionally, Argentina is famed for its tango music, which originated in Buenos Aires and the surrounding areas.

However, there is also a strong rock and punk music tradition, for example bands such as Arbol and Los Tipitos.
