A travel survey by Beat The Brochure revealed that the most popular holiday option for people in the UK was a two-week family trip to Europe.
They also expressed a desire to enjoy their time in warm weather, with the optimum temperature found to be 27 degrees C.
Daniel Ox, of Beat The Brochure, commented: "Brits are becoming a lot more specific in their holiday wants."
He revealed that a variety of activities were found to be popular among UK vacationers, such as trips to local attractions, sunbathing and shopping.
Those who want to go on a holiday like this may want to consider booking flights to Montenegro to spend time on the country's 73km of beaches.
According to Discover Montenegro, the country is a "land of contrasts and natural beauty".
