Britons travelling overseas to countries such as India on SpiceJet flights should try to immerse themselves in the culture of the nations they visit.
This is according to BBC radio legend Nicholas Parsons, who told the Daily Telegraph that he "can't understand it" when people travel and want all their home comforts.
In the interview, he described India as a "country I've got a great affection for", adding that he finds travelling "exciting".
"For me, one of the joys of holidaying is absorbing yourself in the local culture," the host of Just A Minute added.
Those who book flights to Delhi may want to spend some time in the capital before heading off to explore other regions.
Among the attractions visitors to the city might want to check out are the numerous bazaars, such as Dilli Haat, which is home to a variety of stalls selling handicrafts and food from all over the country.
